Antiparos is located very close to Paros from which is separated by a narrow water strip. It covers an area of 35 sq Km. A picturesque island of white houses built around the Venetian castle, paved streets, old churches, beautiful beaches with crystal clear blue waters, sea caves and rare geological formations.<\/p>\n

The capital of the island is Antiparos.<\/p>\n

It is the only inhabited island into a complex of isles: Despotiko, Revmatonisi, Kimitiri, Strogilo, Kavouras, Saliangas, Kokkinos and Mavros Tourlos.<\/p>\n

In the antiquity it was named Oliaros and its first residents were considered to be Phoenicians.<\/p>\n

At Despotiko<\/strong> were discovered cemeteries of the Early Cycladic Period, but also parts of buildings, temples, pots etc. It is considered that the island was inhabited until the 17th century.<\/p>\n<\/div>

  • The cave.<\/strong> At the east side of the island is located the famous cave of Antiparos with stalactites and stalagmites.<\/li>\n
  • The Venetian castle<\/strong> (15th century)<\/li>\n
  • The Church of Aghia Marina<\/strong>, opposite to the port.<\/li>\n
  • Aghios Georgios<\/strong> Chapel<\/li>\n
