Spetses

Spetses is the last in line island of Argosaronikos and is in the entry of Argolikos gulf. It is known for its naval tradition and history. The people of Spetses had a big commercial fleet and with luminous example Mpoumpoulina took part in the revolution 1821 allocating their fleet in the fights.

The nobility that characterizes the island shows in the architecture of island and like Hydra, cars are not allowed on the island ensuring unique enjoyment and calm.
Today Spetses is a very cosmopolitan island with natural beauties, vegetation and clean beaches. The harbor and capital is Ntapa beautiful with its neoclassic houses, graphic alleys and buggies.

  • Mpoumpoulinas mansion and the Museum of Mpoumpoulina with heirlooms from the revolution
  • Hatzigiannis mansion that accomodates the Museum of Spetses with archaeological discoveries.
